The trade fair-free period came to an end for W+G in mid-October when FAKUMA opened its doors to visitors again for the first time from October 12 - 16. Nearly 1,500 exhibitors presented their products and services at the international trade fair for plastics processing.
After rather restrained preparations at the beginning, these went into effect for W+G later than usual after the trade fair's "go" in the summer, and with a change. Not only the stand location but also the stand size had changed. With the same stand concept, but adapted to the smaller stand area, the company then went to the start.
Throughout the trade fair, however, it was quite noticeable that something had changed as a result of the pandemic. Fewer exhibitors were represented and the number of visitors also decreased in comparison to previous years. Nevertheless, W+G drew the following conclusion from the first presence fair after Corona: There were fewer, but intensive and promising discussions.
It remains to be seen whether in the near future there will be a return to the pre-pandemic level of attendance at trade fairs or whether a structural change is in the offing.
